How Much Is a Wedding Photographer?

By Michael J

Given that every bride would love to have a Wedding Photography Price List and wield with it in hand, that's just not possible or plausible given the state of wedding photography.

HOLD YOUR HORSES, don't have a heart attack. I'm going to inform you where you can come by a "ballpark" pricelist with #keyword# in different ranges. The Document will help you with your comparison shopping.

Before we get to the list let's discuss a couple of matters right now...

Photographers Set Fees on Expertise+ Talent + The Cost of Doing Business

In General, there is very little agreement as to how much the wedding photos will cost for an average wedding. It is predicated on factors such as geographical area, how much expertise and value the photographer has established, how many features will be purchased with the package, and whether or not they are shooting digital.

With very few exceptions, most photographers are shooting digital instead of film. When selecting a photographer, you are paying for their respective experience, style, reputation, overhead and materials. A professional who works full-time in this craft will likely cost you more than a "weekend warrior". However, the results will probably be better from the full-timer.

A full-time photographer has the know-how to mix it up with these newbies, who amazingly come out of the woodwork daily.

Nowadays, anyone with a digital camera thinks they can be a polished photographer. There is a certain allure about the job, albeit overrated. Sure, it's fun to get paid to attend someone's wedding and to partake in a fun day of festivities and happiness. However, taking the pictures is actually the easiest part of the task. Behind the scenes, it is not so enchanting.

Running a photo studio is seriously hard work and wedding photography prices often reflect that. There's a ton of busy work, processing of pictures, employee issues, marketing, networking, and bags of activities - and they never stop.

Here a Pro, There a Pro...NOT

Non Pro photographers are able to their wedding photography prices low because of less overhead. The cost of rent and hiring employees in a major facility must be paid for by charging a lot more to the bride and groom. While their services may be justifiable, it may not be so pleasant in your overall budget. Don't forget, consider the option ofa weekend warrior or someone who operates from home to keep wedding photography prices within your budget and to avoid paying a bigger studio's "lighting bill".

TIP: Ask for Extra Services AFTER the Wedding whenever Possible

Remember that at the same time you're preparing your spending plan, you'll probably want and need to shell out* extra money for albums and portraits for both families. Always consider, you're probably going to spend more than you originally planned, but you'll be doing it because you like the memories so much, you WANT to buy the extras.

The thing to remember is not necessarily how much you decide to budget or spend on photographs. Instead, it's how much cheer you get from the albums when it's all said and done.

Some photographers will let you shop for add on's - like reprints, wall hangings and albums - after the marriage ceremony is over. This may help to free up cash that you can use to purchase the other items in your budget. Ask the photographer if you can obtain a basic package and then upgrade after the wedding. Or, ask for a price list for albums, reprints, and accessories.

The One Compromise You Might Regret

Regardless of what you decide (full-timer or part-timer), remember that you should NOT jeopardize your once-in-a lifetime event to an tenderfoot photographer! Just believe that you will regret the decision later. It's not difficult to go overboard for you really like.

Wedding photography prices are frequently the one obstacle that prevents many wedding clients from hiring the photographer who can undoubtedly offer the highest value for the dollars spent. Typically, the slight discrepency between the photographer you love (who might be more high-priced) and the one who you end up calling because of not enough money is outwardly piddling. - 17943
