I have made a small selection of the movies released this year (2008). I have chosen a few of the motion pictures I found entertaining in this years crop. I'm sure that you can find a couple of movies that are worth watching.
WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS: I guess it was a typical night out in Vegas. Young partiers Joy and Jack get up the next day and find out that they are married. After winning a huge jackpot, each thinks they deserve the prize, so they ask a judge for a decision. It is decided that they must stay together for six months, and try to make their marriage work. With an eye on the jackpot, they each try to get the other to give up, as both desire to have the cash for themselves.
HAMLET 2: Failed actor Mr. Marshz has moved on to teaching theater classes at the high school to apathetic students. When they lose a building at the campus, the powers to be feel the theater curriculum will get the axe. Now fully motivated, he tries to save the theater classes by producing Hamlet 2, an original interpretation of the Shakespeare classic, which is his own work.
TROPIC THUNDER: With an abundance of acting talent this outrageous flick is a classic parody of popular war films. To get a realistic performance from his crew to make a true epic masterpiece, the now venturesome director into the middle of nowhere, and leaves them on their own. The object is to overwhelm them into producing a war classic, which hidden cameras will capture. Incredibly, because the director walks over a land mine and is blown apart, the spoiled actors are on their own, and they are convinced everything is just an act, but the bullets flying are actually real. Here?s a great cast with incredible make up for Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise.
PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Complete stoner Dale unfortunately has just viewed a bad cop, and a big time dealer, commit a murder. The killers know he has seen the killing. Realizing this, he unwittingly throws down his joint, a unique version called pineapple express, and takes off. The weed is so special, that the bad guys can. The "fun" is on, the bad guys are hunting, and Dale and dealer Saul are on the run.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Trying to find his lost brother, a science professor explores caves in Iceland, and that sends him into the depths of our planet. This is a newer edition of the 1959 film, that was formed from the classic novel by celebrated writer Jules Verne. Starring Brendan Fraser and Josh Hutchinson, this movie won?t let you down..
Jumper: During a near death experience, David Rice (Hayden Christensen) learns something incredible. He now knows he can actually teleport himself anywhere, anytime. Later, he becomes aware that there are others with this skill. Unfortunately, after a few years of fun, he is exposed to hunters that want him, and all the jumpers wiped out. Now he is in a fight for survival, as the hunters try to track him down.
THE CHRONICALS OF NARNIA, PRINCE CASPIAN: It is one year later, in their normal lives when, the four saviors of Narnia, Lucy, Susan, Peter, and Edmund are mysteriously pulled back into Narnia. Fearing for his life Prince Caspian has blown the magic horn, praying that he will be saved. In Narnia, 1,300 years have passed since they were Kings and Queens, but they have been called back to rescue Narnia from an evil fate. With the support of the best fighters in the Narnia, including a very brave mouse, they will fight for the future of Narnia.
INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones movies are back, after a 19 year hiatus. This is the latest film in the Indiana Jones movies. In this, the latest adventure, Mr. Jones it's the cold war, and the Russians are the enemy. The Soviets are looking for ancient relics called the Crystal Skulls, and the powers they might possess.
STEP BROTHERS: When two 40 year olds, who both live at home with one parent, will now have to live in the same room because their parents marry, you can only imagine the mess. Put Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in those roles, and this seems to be a great recipe for a raucous comedy. This seems like a best bet for a good laugh in 2008.
These days just about everyone buys or rents these movies, so they can see them in the comfort of their living rooms. A more recent method for getting films is through downloads from online sources. The internet has many websites that will download virtually any movie ever made. - 17943
