Manage Your PPC Campaign Like a Pro

When looking to manage PPC campaigns more effectively, you must determine exactly what you goals are with PPC. This may sound rather elementary, but to determine proper PPC management you must identify exactly what your goals are.

Are you trying to build a list? Make sales? Are you monetizing your website? These are all fair questions to ask regarding PPC management.

1. The first and most important question to ask yourself to management your PPC campaign well is to know how much you can spend or able to afford. A good starting step is to do testing and try making a few sales, and then you will be able to determine a more accurate conversion rate.

If you do this and calculate a 2% conversion rate on a $30 product, then you should know that you can spend 50 cents per click and still make a $10 profit. Now, you probably would not want to cut it that close, and would want to keep your costs around 30 cents per click in this case.

2. Another important key to have better results from PPC is you have to use very targeted keyword list. There are tons and tons of great software in the market to help you with keyword selection, however, I think common sense is the best tool for this!

When you enter the keyword you want to use, you should bracket it so that your ad will only appear for the exact search.Try to think from your customers' point of view. If you were then, how would you search? This can help you decide on the keyword to use.

3. Nobody can achieve instant success to PPC. You need trials and errors and constant monitoring of your ads to manage the performance. Only when you can consistently get your desired results, can you leave it alone.
