Pocket Accessories For A Man's Suit

By Victor Santerino

When a man buys a suit he usually does not have to concern himself with the number of pockets that will be available. This is because the jacket and trousers combine to have anywhere from 7 to 12 pockets stitched into them.

The problem with these pockets however, is that most of them are not functional, meaning they cannot be used. For instance stuffed jacket pockets always seem to make the jacket look misshapen and even trouser pockets can fall victim to the stuffed pockets look.

Reading this article should give you a good idea of where to place your crucial items when wearing your suit. Pay careful attention as you read each paragraph and you will undoubtedly learn something new.

The best way to keep pockets from looking full is to not use them. This can be achieved in cold climates by using your coat pockets exclusively. I do not recommend this tactic for anybody that might be at risk of having their jackets looted.

The men that cannot store items in coats for fear of theft or warm weather can follow a few simple steps to look less absurd. These men can put their gear in their jacket and trouser pockets carefully so that they do not get bulky.

The first thing to keep in mind is that you will not be able to store anything other than a pocket square in your outside jacket pockets. Inside pockets can be utilized, but only for thin items that will not be visible through the jacket.

Back trouser pocket can be used when the jacket will be constantly on to hide the back of the pants. This is a great way to keep the bulk out of site, but not out of reach.

Front trouser pockets can be used sparingly when necessary. Thin items like cellular phones, wallets, and money clips are acceptable items to place in front pant pockets. - 17943
